Once again the Global Refining & Petrochemical Summit proved to be an out and out success as an array of global expert speakers delivered excellent presentations on the pressing issues the industry is currently facing.
The Summit attracted top industry professionals from both the Refining and Petrochemical industries who benefitted from top talks on Day One from companies like Takreer, Statoil and the MOL Group on vital topics like Refining and Petrochemical integration, energy efficiency, operational reliability and turnaround planning.
Day Two included some excellent presentations from Asia with both Reliance Industries and Sinopec giving excellent factual talks on how the refining industry in Asia is impacting the market globally.
Looking forward to the coming year the industry will continue to face major challenges in Europe with an estimated 40 out of the 82 refineries in Europe facing the prospect of closure. However there could still be a market for European refiners to export their products as global demand increases.
While in China, the Middle East, India and North America growth will continue in a number of refining centres.…
