Marcelo Senatore graduated with a degree in Metallurgical Engineering from FEI in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and started in 2005 a Master of Science in wet corrosion from the University of Sao Paulo. Demonstrating his overall commitment to quality from the beginning, Marcelo Senatore started his metallurgical career in the Quality Department with a Brazilian stainless steel tube producer and was responsible for ensuring ISO standards , QC and managed the Corrosion laboratory. In 2004, he joined the team in Sandvik Brazil as Sales Engineer. He began to get involved with stainless steal applications in the oil & gas and downstream industries. Marcelo gained such expertise that he was invited to join Sandvik's sales team in Houston, TX and in 2008 he assumed the role of the North American Heat Exchanger Product Manager. Marcelo is currently responsible for material selection and technical marketing for the Customized Products Division of Sandvik in North America -- working closely with oil refineries and the chemical processing industry. He is the Sandvik designated representative with MTI - Materials Technology Institute, Vice chairman of the API-938C committee (use of stainless steels in oil refineries), Vice chairman of NACE TEG-114x (Applications of duplex and ferritic stainless steels in the process industry), and the company representative in the ASME B31.3 process piping committee.
