Meet speaker: Mike Whitling

Mike Whitling is the Manager of Asset Operations and Consultancy within the Design Assurance Group, based in Reading, UK. He has gained considerable operations and facility management experience in an operating environment, having previously worked for Conoco Ltd. Mike has driven the plant assessment and operational & maintenance best practice / facility management Human Issues business over the past 16 years at Foster Wheeler. Mike has conducted over forty studies ranging from buyers and sellers due diligence, baseline / benchmarking to greenfield site assessments and management integrity and energy / profit improvement projects for a wide range of clients in the oil, gas and chemicals sectors. He holds a BSc (Honours) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and is a Fellow of the IChemE.
