Bhaskar has been in Oil and Gas industry for more than 12 years and was engaged in some of the largest oil majors across the globe. Started as a SD and SRM consultant in SAP (Asia) in Singapore and then moved up as a regional manager in S.E.Asia. In this role he had been in the core team to win the largest deal in government owned petrochemical company for SAP transformation, which was in 2000 one of the key highlights for SAP (Asia) in S.E.Asia.
After five years in SAP (Asia) he then moved to IBM (Singapore) and was moved to IBM Bangalore to head the Shell project. Shell was the first large off-shoring project for any Oil and Gas company. It off-shored its key application portfolio to build on its key of foundation of GSAP (Global SAP) which is one of the largest SAP project for any oil major. Bhaskar was the program manager for Shell project in India. In IBM the Shell project was identified as one of the best run project for IBM globally.
From IBM Bhaskar moved to Wipro technologies in London as the client partner for Shell. He was instrumental in building Wipro business in Shell to build this account as the single largest account for Wipro in 2008. He worked in this capacity for three years and went to take a sabbatical leave to finish his MSc in renewal energy and technology and sustainability from the University of Reading in 2010.
Presently Bhaskar is the head of global sales for energy and Alternative energy in TCS from April 2012.
